Project description: during the period from March 2010 to December 2013, in partnership with AF Colenco Switzerland Ltd, SIA Firma L4 provided project management and construction works technical engineering supervisory services, in conformity with the conditions of contract laid down in the FIDIC Silver Book under the auspices of the project “2nd Stage of Reconstruction of Riga TEC-2”. Under the auspices of the project, a new cogeneration plant was built, which is comprised of one independently standing power unit. The basis for the power unit is a General Electric gas turbine, boiler-utilizer and Siemens steam turbine, as well as auxiliary equipment. The net power of the new power unit will range from 380 to 420 MWel, while the heating capacity will be 270 MWth. Total project construction works costs: EUR 225 million.
