Client: Bauska Municipality
Project completion period: 2013.– 2014.
Project description: On 11 November 2014, Lāčplēsis Day, the reconstructed Mūsa bridge was opened. While it was the third demolition and reconstruction of the Mūsa bridge during its life, its existing structures – the 120-year-old concrete masonry supports, which needed to be strengthened, were preserved as part of the reconstruction, and now, after the reconstruction, these supports are also safe for holding the spans of the new bridge. The dimensions of the bridge have also increased significantly – now it is a little less than five metres wider than the previous one, its length is 135 metres. Within the framework of the competition “Latvian Construction of the Year Award 2014”, the facility was awarded the 1st place in the nomination “Reconstruction of Engineering Structure”.
